Crane Co. Reports Fourth Quarter Results and Provides 2016 EPS Guidance

Excluding Special Items, earnings per diluted share (EPS) of $1.12 decreased 1% compared to $1.13 in 2014. On a GAAP basis, EPS was $1.11 compared to $0.95 in 2014.
Sales of $681 million declined 7% compared to 2014, driven primarily by unfavorable foreign exchange of 3%, and a core sales decline of 3%.
Introducing 2016 EPS guidance of $3.85-$4.15 with core sales in a range of -1.5% to +1.5%.

STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT - January 25, 2016 - Crane Co. (NYSE: CR), a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products, reported fourth quarter 2015 earnings of $1.11 per diluted share, compared to $0.95 per share in the fourth quarter of 2014. Excluding Special Items in both years, fourth quarter 2015 earnings per diluted share were $1.12, compared to $1.13 in the fourth quarter of 2014. Fourth quarter 2015 sales were $681 million, a decrease of 7% compared to $731 million in the fourth quarter of 2014. The sales decline was comprised of a $24 million, or 3%, impact from unfavorable foreign exchange; a core sales decline of $22 million, or 3%; and a divestiture impact of $4 million.
